CloseSilent Site is proud of its history and the foundations laid by James Carlton, whose experience and vision shaped the company from the outset.
James Carlton’s career in manufacturing began in 1995, when he established an aluminium manufacturing business specialising in the production of access towers and staging systems for the aircraft maintenance industry. This early venture provided a strong foundation in engineering, manufacturing, and the development of practical solutions to meet demanding industry requirements.
In 2010, James joined the acoustic team at North Yorkshire Fence Company, where he developed his knowledge and experience in acoustic noise control and sound reduction solutions.
Building on this experience, in 2012 James established Silent Site UK, with the aim of manufacturing high-quality acoustic barriers and noise-control products for a wide range of industries. Since then, the company has continued to develop effective, reliable, and bespoke acoustic solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
As part of ongoing product development, James has also designed and developed a range of Acoustic Cutting Enclosures, providing dedicated work areas for the cutting of materials on construction sites and within industrial environments. These innovative enclosures are designed to help control noise and contain dust and airborne particles, supporting safer working practices while reducing the impact of cutting operations on surrounding workers and the environment.
Over the years, Silent Site UK has expanded its reach beyond the UK, exporting its acoustic noise-control products to France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA. This international presence reflects our commitment to quality manufacturing and customer service globally.
Carlton’s career has been built on practical manufacturing experience, product development, and a commitment to delivering innovative solutions that address real-world industry challenges. He has remained focused on developing quality products, building lasting customer relationships, and expanding the reach of British manufacturing.
