Reducing chiller fan noise

Baker's delight as high frequency noise controlled!

A famous Yorkshire family bakery chain required additional temporary cold storage at one of their North Yorkshire sites. With adjacent neighbours potentially concerned about the high-pitched noise, Silent Site barriers were deployed to minimise noise from the coolant fans.

Temporary cold storage facilities ensure the temperature is constant, meaning the fans operate as required.

The bakery chain wanted to ensure their neighbours would get a good night’s sleep—waking up to the smell of fresh bread rather than enduring a disturbed night from intermittent fan noise.

Silent Site supplied the sound-busting SS2.5 Acoustic Panels and framework, helping to get noise under control.

On fixing the panels, the fan noise levels were reduced to below 70 db, so everyone could get a good night’s sleep
