Soundproofing for student success

Construction noise in term time risked lesson disruption.

Urgent repairs and alterations to school classrooms in a busy Bradford High School couldn’t wait until the school holidays.

As the work started, it was discovered that the construction noise was impacting students’ concentration levels. Excessive noise disrupts concentration at any time; when students prepare for exams, it’s an unwelcome distraction. Fortunately, Silent Site was on hand to help.

A site visit quickly identified that our sound-busting SS-25 noise control panel would be the right product. A temporary floor-to-ceiling framework was built, and the panels fixed – the instant result was significant noise reduction, enabling the students to study in peace.

Silent Site noise reduction products (our acoustic barriers) can help you reduce noise by up to 35dB. The range of temporary acoustic panels, blankets, quilts and barriers are available in different sizes, all designed to help you control and reduce nuisance noise.
